The Saga of the Church Schools in Malta (1970-1986) (Dominic V. Scerri OP, 2000)

13.00

People born before the 1980s must remember the Church schools saga, when the Maltese government sought to diminish the Church schools’ autonomy, identity and character and to extend its monopoly in the same way as in State schools. The Church and the Federation of Parent-Teachers Association provided the main bulwark in the protection of schools. The book describes what happened in those “frightful and formidable years”, in the author’s words, Fr Dominic Scerri, who served for many years in the Catholic education sector in Malta.

The postage fee is €2.50 for Malta and Gozo. International delivery is not available.
