Launch of Fondazzjoni Sagħtar

3 June 2020 – The Malta Union of Teachers has launched Fondazzjoni Sagħtar, whose purpose is to enable the MUT to serve its dual role, as a trade unionistic and professional entity. The Foundation will work to strengthen the education profession by offering educational training and material, organising courses and lectures from time to time, and through its various publications, for educators and students, most importantly the popular magazine Sagħtar. The Foundation was launched at the MUT headquarters in Ħamrun and was presided by the Hon. Owen Bonnici, Minister of Education and Employment. The Chairperson of Fondazzjoni Sagħtar is Ms Elaine Germani, who is currently the Senior Vice President of the MUT.
